Yesterday I was yet again reminded that my girls will grow up one day when I picked up Claire & Madeline at day care and Claire’s best buddy there Aden ran up to her and said “Claire, I love you, I”ll miss you tomorrow” and then kissed her on the cheek!  Last time I checked my daugther wasn’t old enough to have a boyfriend.

In the car on the way home she told me “Mommy, Aden is my boyfriend and he kissed me in the chick and gave me a big hug and we are happy friends”.  I guess that sums it up.  As we pulled into our neighborhood Claire noticed that the neighbors had put up their Christmas lights and commented “Mommy, that is such a silly house with all those Tandy Canes for Christmus.”

This weekend we’re going to try to decorate our own house.  I’m hoping that Madeline won’t pull down the tree (or be afraid of it).  I think we’re going to put a gate up around it and hope for the best.
