25 Jan 2008 Little slips of paper….and stuff
 |  Category: Anne - General

My friend Ann used to say that her life was lived out of the little slips of paper she found in her back pocket. As I was pulling back into my office after lunch, I realized that my pockets were full — coat and pants pockets. I just pulled everything out and put it on my desk. I know this is not exciting to anyone but me, but the contents of my two coat pockets and my jeans pockets is just ridiculous:

  • 2 Day Care Sheets for Madeline…one from this week, one from last week.
  • The Day Care Scholastic Book Fair order form
  • 2 Kashi Granola bar wrappers
  • 3 Diet Coke Caps (Points…ya know)
  • 4 Pampers.com label codes (in my pants pocket)
  • 1 ATM receipt
  • 1 McDonalds Receipt (cheeseburger happy meal NO PICKLES with milk and a sweet tea for mommy)
  • 2 tubes of lip gloss
  • 1 Used Notre Dame Basketball Ticket (ND vs Villanova…women)
  • A very cryptic grocery list
  • 2 stitch markers (the plastic cheap kind)
  • Directions to the Yarn Store in Niles
  • One baby mitten.

I’m not going to even attempt cleaning out my purse.

  1. I cleaned out my purse this morning and ended up with a pile of paper trash that took me 4 handfulls to toss. Receipts, lists, patterns, more lists, more receipts, dry cleaning slip that i picked up a lONG time ago… it is an intersting thought. You could totally trace the last 3 weeks of our lives from the little slips of paper…

  2. I did my purse again the other day. Wasn’t horrendous, but it was done just a couple weeks ago and OMG - why in the world do I continue to put stuff in my purse. I mean, other than the fact that is what it is for….
