This morning Claire informed me that she was now an adult and could decide which shoes she wanted to wear today.  I asked her if she was going to go get a job since she’s an adult now and she said “WHAT?”

Then in the car she told me that my name was no longer mommy, for today anyway.  Today I will be called Mimi.  And Claire will be called Kiki.  “Mommy, today you are are Mimi, but only for today. But you’re still Mommy, but I will call you Mimi.”.  When I called her Claire she repeated “Mommy, today I am Kiki.  Only for today, but I’m still Claire”.  Then, out of nowhere, she told me that Cookie is her Godfather and “Kitty, well, I am Kitty’s Godfather”.  I told her that you had to be a boy to be a godfather and she replied with “No her don’t”.
